Spiroflow will now offer the full range of Cablevey tubular drag conveyors in its product portfolio. The new collaboration allows Spiroflow to offer best-in-class, wet and dry hygienic cleaning features that do not require sanitarians to disassemble tubular conveyors.

Cablevey’s totally-enclosed, tubular-cable drag conveyors offer a variety of clean-in-place options, including:

Wet cleaning options are available for 4-foot (ft.), 6-ft., and 8-ft. diameter systems, and offer an easy, three-step internal cleaning process. Once materials are removed from the conveyor system, water can be introduced to rinse the inside of the tube and the cable and disc assembly. A foam agent can then be introduced into the system to fully cleanse the internal pieces, followed by a second water rinse. The final step involves running a sanitizing solution through the conveyor to eliminate any remaining contamination, and finishes with a drying process to quickly get equipment back to service.

In addition to the wet and dry cleaning options, Cablevey’s line also offers a Clearvey System for materials that contain natural oils. Plastic tubing is a better choice for some substances such as nut oils, which can have an adverse reaction to stainless steel, resulting in discoloration of the end product. The Clearvey plastic system eliminates product discoloration and are designed with the same efficient, easy-to-clean, and gentle handling features as stainless steel systems. Additionally, the system’s clear tubes allow for visual observation of products’ movement and condition throughout the system, helping to identify any issues as early as possible.

All Cablevey tubular drag conveyors are designed to minimize product accumulation and contamination, and are suitable for food-grade applications.
