WILLMAR — The Willmar Rails earned the 3-0 Corn Belt League victory Thursday over the Marshall A’s at Bill Taunton Stadium.

Christian Lessman and Patrick Courtney combined on the three-hit shutout. Lessman struck out 10 and walked two in seven innings, allowing three hits. Courtney pitched the final two innings, striking out two and walking one with no hits to get the save.

Lessman also was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Ashton Gregory went 2-for-3 for for the Rails.

Zach Olson had two hits for the A’s (6-9). Willmar is 8-7 in league play. The teams play again at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Marshall’s Legion Field.

Caleb Ditmarson went 3-for-4 with a double, a hit-by-pitch, three runs and a stolen base to lead the Raymond Rockets past the Tracy Engineers late Wednesday at Raymond’s Lilleberg Field.
