We have made it through another week, which means it is time to go through the gaming and related news that has collected, and first up is some time sensitive information, though it is not as time sensitive as it could be. The Epic Games Store has begun the Epic Games MEGA Sale 2022 and it is running until June 16. This will hopefully give you plenty of time to take advantage of the various discounts as well as the newest version of the MEGA Coupon. If you remember prior MEGA sales, this coupon would provide $10 a single purchase of at least $14.99. Now it is instead 25% off all eligible games in your shopping cart, as now you can have multiple items in your EGS cart. Eligibility requires the cart combines to at least $14.99 and that the items are currently available games, so not pre-orders, DLC, or in-game purchases.

You can follow the link below to see what all is on sale, learn more about the coupon, and to claim a free copy of Borderlands 3 until May 26.

This week 505 Games had its first showcase, which featured several upcoming games we can expect this year and next, and it is on YouTube to watch now. It is behind an age-gate though, so here is the link you can visit: 505 Games Spring 2022 Showcase. As for what it shared, we have news for Among the Trolls, Stray Blade, and Miasma Chronicles. In Among the Trolls, players will get to explore Finnish forests and folklore in a first-person, survival, action-adventure experience when it arrives on Steam Early Access later this year. Stray Blade was previously announced, but a new gameplay video has been shared of this action RPG. The Miasma Chronicle is a new title coming from the creators of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden set in a post-apocalyptic world where the mysterious Miasma tore the world apart.

Dotemu has shared a new behind the scenes video for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, this time with a focus on the effort to modernize the classic beat-em-up fun of the original games. The developers at Tribute Games do want to provide a modern experience but also preserve the timeless fun that left them with indelible memories from their childhood. Part of achieving this was to make the game resemble a season of the 1987 cartoon, with each stage as its own episode.

TMNT: Shredder's Revenge is to launch this Summer for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

HandyGames has shared that Endling – Extinction is Forever has been delayed. This game where you will play as the last adult fox, hunting for food for your cubs in a dying world, is still to release soon, but has slipped from its Spring target. When it releases it will be available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, and now there will be a retail version of the game, something the community has been suggesting.

Fobia – St. Dinfna Hotel has received its launch date of June 28, and a new trailer featuring some of its unique systems. In this survival horror game you will be exploring the past, present, and future as journalist Roberto as he fights against the supernatural in this hotel with dark mysteries. When it releases, it will be available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

A new trailer has been released by Prime Matter and Brass Token for the upcoming horror, action-adventure game, The Chant. This game will place you on a remote island as you try to survive various ethereal terrors that have been released after a ritual chant went wrong and opened a portal to The Gloom, a nightmare dimension. This other dimension feeds on negative feeds and drives people mad with their anxieties and fears by forming them into interdimensional creatures. It is not all-powerful though, and by strengthening your mind, body, and spirit as well as learning the secrets of a new age cult, you can reverse the effects and avoid becoming trapped in The Gloom itself.

The Chant will release to PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 when it launches.

Techland has revealed the first piece of concept art of its unannounced AAA open-world, action-RPG set in a fantasy world. Currently well known for Dying Light and Dying Light 2, both zombie survival horror games, this project will be a bit different, but fortunately the studio has some significant talent on the team, including Karolina Stachyra as the Narrative Director who is responsible for the Bloody Baron questline from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, among other contributions to that game and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. This is not the only talent from the Witcher series, as the Narrative Lead, Arkadiusz Borowik, also worked on both of those titles, and the Open World Director, Bartosz Ochman, worked on Cyberpunk 2077, Lead Animator Kevin Quaid from Horizon Zero Dawn, Lead Game Designer David McClure from Deathloop, and Creative Director Mario Maltezos from Mad Max and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

Along with this teaser image and news of the team members, the developer has also pointed out it is hiring in many positions for the teams for this unannounced project as well as Dying Light 2. The link to the job listings is below.

THQ Nordic announced a new title this week, the action-RTS The Valiant where you play as a veteran of the Crusades that must now stop a former brother-in-arms, Ulrich, who is on his own crusade to re-form Aaron's Rod. On his quest to find the pieces, Ulrich is tearing through Europe and the Holy Land, and Theoderich van Akenburg and his companions must stop him. The gameplay is being designed for a new experience for the genre and will have a focus on more tactical combat with smaller faces. It will also offer a story-driven campaign with each mission's challenge being unique and the decisions you make on and off the battlefield will make a difference. You will need to be careful when selecting your forces for each mission, as there will be no base building, and decide what each hero should be equipped with for the fights.

When The Valiant releases it will offer both competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes, though the campaign has been designed as a single-player experience. You can play with two other friends though in a Last Man Standing mode with waves of enemies, including mini-bosses and bosses, coming at you, with success providing experience to unlock new skills and better stats for future challenges.

Finishing this one off is some news from Acer that held its [email protected] 2022 press conference this week and showed off various new products. Among these was the new Swift 3 OLED laptop that features, as the name suggests, and OLED screen that is 14 inches with a 16:10 WQXGA+ panel that has 100% DCI-P3 gamut coverage and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. Powering the display is a 12th Gen Intel Core H-Series CPU with Iris Xe graphics paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a PCIe Gen 4 SSD. It has been Intel Evo verified, which means it offers instant wake from sleep and ten hours of real-world battery life, but you can also get four hours out of it by charging for 30 minutes. It is targeting a July release with a starting price of $899.99.

Looking at the gaming-focused products, the Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition announced, which offers a glasses-free stereoscopic 3D experience with its SpatialLabs TrueGame application. Through that, supported games will take advantage of the special display and there will be over 50 modern and classic titles with support profiles when the laptop launches. As for other components, it features up to a 12th Gen Core i9 CPU, paired with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU, up to 32 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM, and PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSDs in RAID 0. It will also have Wi-Fi 6E support, an HDMI 2.1 port, a Thunderbolt 4 port, and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports. It is aiming to a release in Q4 with a starting price of $3399.99, so clearly this 3D technology is not going to be cheap.

Acer has also updated and expanded its Aspire Vero line of laptops that feature more ecologically friendly designs and materials. The AV14-51 has a 14 in display, paired with a 12th Gen Core processor, Iris Xe graphics, Wi-Fi 6, a Thunderbolt 4/USB Type-C port, and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports. If you need something a little larger, the AV15-52 has a 15 inch panel and a similar selection of ports. Both of these will be available in different colors and feature OceanGlass trackpads, which are made from plastic that was bound for the ocean. The chassis are made from 30% post-consumer recycled plastic, with the screen bezel also being 30% PCR and the keycaps being 50% PCR. To help make repairs and upgrades, the bottom cover can be removed with standard screws, giving access to the RAM and SSD. Both of these are targeting a September launch and a starting price of $749.99.

Acer announced many more products than these I have covered, and you can learn more by watching the conference embedded here, and by visiting the source links.
